Other than being a totally different breed? Mostly it's a size thing. We look very much alike, as we're both sighthounds. Most often the comparison is we're the "small size", Whippets are the "medium" and full size greyhounds are the "large" ones. But we all have our little quirks as well!

Yes, we can! You'd be surprised though that we're not always running however. We do tend to like lounging around the house with the family, but when we do get out to play at the park and the need to burn off some energy ... well we have only a very few friends (mostly other Iggies) that can keep up!

No, we're from very different family lines. Hazen's family tree follows a line of American IGs, while Mike's follows a line of European dogs (eastern Europe mostly). We're best friends and brothers by every other definition though!

While we probably don't pack away as much as some of the Great Dane's we've met, you'd be amazed at how much room we can make if cheese or chicken becomes part of the menu! Our size is pretty much how our breed looks, and doesn't mean we aren't getting plenty to eat.

I know quite a few signs that my humans can use, to let me know when it's time for bed or dinner. I also taught them signs so they can let me know when to sit in my chair when a good show on Animal Planet is coming on. We're working on more signs all the time and hope to get alot more standard American Sign Language into our vocabulary, but I can only train my humans so fast!
